Friend

Hello crafting friends, happy Thursday!

My first crafty purchase of 2015. A cute little foxy stamp set which I used to make this card with the colour choice at Colour Me.  Also linking up to CAS-ology and Less Is More which both have the theme of Friend.

The little fox was stamped in black Archival, coloured with distress ink and wet brush and the colour intensified with a colouring pencil, the grass was inked with an SU! marker and the sun is a diecut inked with SU! ink.

I have to admit I was in two minds about whether to leave the frame white but then decided to add some colour with a stencil and duster brush for some extra "sunshine".

Thank you for popping by today, have a great evening! xx

Blue poppies

Hi everyone, I hope you're well and had a good weekend!

I love making cards with flowers on them and poppies are one of my favourites.

The stamp was inked with distress ink and spritzed with water before stamping and I moved some of the colour about with a wet brush.

Linking up to Happy Little Stampers CAS challenge - Watercolour, Uniko Studios - Love and Friendship and CAS-ology - NBUS (never before used poppy stamp set).  Also for Less Is More where this week's theme is Friends.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by today. Have a great rest of the week! xx

Have a lovely day!

Hi everyone, I hope you're well and the weather isn't being too unkind!

I've made another card for Time Out as the photo inspiration is lovely this week and I wanted to have another go! This time I've taken inspiration from the row of cushions and the flower pattern

The flowers were stamped in black Memento and coloured with Promarkers and then I cut out three squares from the larger image.

The flowers were coloured using the ColourQ selection and am also linking to Darnell's fun NBUS (never before used schtuff) and CAS-ology where the theme is also NBUS, as this is the first trip out for the Blossoming Buds stamp set and

Thank you for visiting my blog and for your lovely comments which I always appreciate and love reading xx

Addicted to CAS #24

Hi everybody, this is my DT card for the new challenge at Addicted to CAS. The codeword is TRANSPARENT which was chosen by the very talented Christine who is our hostess for the next two weeks.
Our generous sponsor is Nicecrane Designs and our Top Addict will receive a $20 gift certificate to spend at their online store.

I stamped the window frame twice in sepia Archival, one for the card and one to use as a mask by cutting the middle part out with a craft knife. After brushing on some blue ink for the sky I stamped the branch and pumpkins and coloured them using SU! markers and an aqua brush.

This card is for the following challenges:

CASology week 65: CRISP ("crisp Autumn day")
Crafts 4 Eternity #145: Clean and Simple
The Sisterhood of Crafters: Anything Goes

The DT have made such a fabulous variety of creative projects so please don't forget to check it out at the ATCAS challenge blog.

Thank you so much for looking and have a lovely weekend!

ATCAS #23

Hi everybody, it's time for a new challenge at Addicted to CAS. Our code word is Autumn/Fall selected by the lovely Sylvia who will be our hostess for the next fortnight.
Our generous sponsor is Paper Nest Dolls who will be offering a generous prize to our CAS Perfectionist.

Here's how I made my autumn leaves:

1. Take a piece of double-sided sticky sheet. Peel the backing off of one side, stamp your image onto the sheet with black Archival and then place a piece of clear acetate sheet over the top.

2. Trim roughly around the image, turn the piece over and peel off the backing on the second side.

3. Apply mica powders/glitter to that side of the sticky sheet, cut out your image and attach to your project.

Leaf stamp by Me and Carrie Lou, word stamp by Inkylicious, mica powders by Pearl-Ex. The sheen and sparkle on the mica doesn't show up at all well on the photos.

TIP: clear/mother of pearl sequins can be coloured with Promarkers or other alcohol pens to match your project.

This card is also for CASology and CAS-ual Fridays.

Don't forget to check out the fabulous inspiration by the other talented DT ladies at Addicted to CAS. We look forward to seeing your beautiful creations and visiting your blogs.

Hope you have a great weekend and thanks for taking the time to stop by today!

CASology Week 14

Hi everyone, the CASology challenge this week is LEAF but if you don't have a leaf stamp, you can use something else. Maybe "leaf" makes you think of flowers, spring, growth, nature, birds, etc.

For this card, I used a shrub stamp by Hero Arts, other stamps by Hobby Art.

Here is another one I made by embossing some kraft card with a dotty folder, leaf stamp by Hot Off The Press, word stamp by Hobby Art.

Thank you for stopping by!

Less Is More week 82

Hi everyone, I always struggle with making CAS cards, I think I never manage to get it quite right and its sooo frustrating but nevertheless I will persevere!

The Less Is More challenge this week is a RECIPE 3 - 2 - 1. All you need to do is to incorporate 3 of something, 2 of something and 1 of something else.

My card has three leaves (stamp by Hero Arts), two shades of green (Ranger Shabby Shutters and Peeled Paint) and one sentiment (stamp by TPC).

I would also like to enter this card into the CASology challenge this week to make a card using GREEN.
