ATSM #69 and DD#76

Hello everyone, here is my DT card for Addicted to Stamps and More. This week the theme is: CAS (clean and simple) and as you can seen, I've kept my card very simple. Using colour inspiration from The Dynamic Duos: Wisteria Wonder and Perfect Plum, the stamps were inked with Stampin' Up! markers.

Our wonderful sponsor for the month of October is Nicecrane Designs and our Top Addict will receive a $20 gift certificate to spend at their online store.

Don't forget to check out the fabulous cards by the other DT ladies at the ATSM challenge blog and we look forward to seeing your CAS creations and visiting your blogs!

Take care, Sue x

Less Is More week 143

Hi everyone, I hope you are well and didn't suffer any storm damage this week. Although we had a lot of rain and it was quite windy, we were lucky not to suffer any damage but there is a tree down across the road quite close to here.

When I saw that the recipe at Less Is More is to use string or twine, I wanted to make a card with something to do with sewing but I don't have the appropriate stamps so here is what I came up with.

I cut a bobbin from card, used an embossing tool to give it some dimension and wound the twine around it, stamped a lace border and attached the bobbin and two buttons. The sentiment is hand written.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

ATCAS #25 - ONE LAYER

e

Hi everyone, and a warm welcome to new member, Joni.

It's time for a new challenge at Addicted to CAS. Our theme for the next two weeks, chosen by the multi-talented Kylie, is "One Layer".

Our fabulous sponsor is DigiDarla Designs who will be awarding a prize to our Top Addict.

Here's how I made my DT card. I used a die to cut my mask out of card then inked through the aperture with some Cut N Dry Foam and TH distress inks, stamped the scrolls, candle and flame with various distress inks and the lantern, chain and sentiment in black Archival.

The other DT ladies at Addicted to CAS have made a lovely variety of projects for your inspiration so don't forget to pop over and check it out and we look forward to seeing your one layer CAS cards.

I stamped the whole image twice on a card blank with Certain Celery and twice on a piece of white card (with TH Wild Honey as I don't have SU! ATSM #67 - Make Your Mark

Hi everyone, hope you're having a good week so far. It's time for a new challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More and this week is Make Your Mark - use pens, pencils, crayons, chalks, powders or paints on your project.

Our generous sponsor is Nicecrane Designs and this week's Top Addict will receive a $20 gift certificate to use at their store.

Here's how I made my DT card.

1. Stamp and heat emboss the seedheads in black.
2, Scribble with distress markers onto a craft sheet, lightly spray with water and place the piece of embossed card face down onto the ink. To get more intense colour, wait until the piece is dry, scribble the markers onto your craft sheet again and pick up some of the ink with Cut N Dry foam and apply to your card.
3, Stamp the little leaves and letters/words in black Archival and highlight here and there with a white gel pen.

The DT have made some gorgeous creations - don't forget to check it out at the ATSM challenge blog and we do hope you can join in the fun!

This card is also for Inkspirational #41 - Anything Goes and Lavinia Stamps challenge #8 - Autumn Colours.

Our generous sponsor is Nicecrane Designs and our Top Addict will receive a $20 gift certificate to spend at their online store.

I stamped the window frame twice in sepia Archival, one for the card and one to use as a mask by cutting the middle part out with a craft knife. After brushing on some blue ink for the sky I stamped the branch and pumpkins and coloured them using SU! markers and an aqua brush.

This card is for the following challenges:

LIM Week 140 and KIS 24

Hi everyone, today I've made a white on white Christmas card. Was a bit stumped as I made one last week here, but here's what I came up with. The greeting (Stamporium) was heat embossed in silver, diecut frame by Sizzix and flower and leaves dies by Marianne. A Craftwork Cards Candi popped in the centre of the flower.

The silver embossing is a little tricky to photograph, here's a close-up.

This card is for the following challenges:

Less Is More - White on White Christmas
Keep it Simple - All is White

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Merry Monday #77 and Nonni's Card Challenge

Hi everyone, I hope you're all well.

Here's something I've made for Merry Monday and Nonni's Card Challenge (Let's Get Inky), a brand new card challenge hosted by the very talented Nonni!

Nonni's challenge is to make a Christmas card using stamping. Why not pop over and check out all the beautiful DT inspiration. Here's the brief:

Let's Get Inky -Stamp A Happy Christmas!
Let's create Christmas cards with stamping playing the main role! You could use fun techniques like masking and combine background stamps with smaller stamps... Or how about using non-Christmas stamps for Christmas and playing with some embossing powders? Or stamping with watercolors? Or tone on tone stamping maybe? The possibilities are endless... Let's get inky and creative! You can choose any style from CAS to vintage, what ever you like the best... You can use embellishments too -just don't cover up your fabulous stamping completely!

I've chosen to use non-Christmas stamps. The branches and baubles are PTI Heart to Heart #12 which is a flower set I've used here. The string-and-bow stamp is by Hobby Art, sentiment by Paula Pascual.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.
