CAS-ology week 69, OLW165 and CFC119

Hi everyone, this is something I made today for a few challenges.

I stamped and heat embossed the Nativity scene in white, did some inking with TH distress inks and stamped the words in brown Archival. This is actually my third attempt. I tried twice to emboss with clear embossing powder but it was too "grainy" and didn't give enough detail, so I then embossed with white detail powder (although it looks cream!?).

This is for CAS-ology, CAS-ual Fridays, and One Layer Wednesday (No Red/Green) which is currently being hosted by Ardyth.

Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a nice day!

Less Is More week 142, CAS-ology week 67 and OLW 163

Hello everyone, hope you are well, and a warm welcome and hello to new member, Bonnie.

This one layer card is for Less Is More where the theme this week is Trees. I masked a circle and inked with TH distress inks using duster brushes, stamped the tree, swing and sentiment in black Archival. Would also like this to add this to CAS-ology week 67, where the theme is Country and One Layer Wednesday: make a card with orange on it.

Thank you so much for looking!

Dynamic Duos #53 and OLW #140

Hi everyone, I've made this for One Layer Wednesday #140 - Border,  inspired by the colours at Dynamic Duos #53 - Pacific Point and Basic Black.

After masking off the bottom section of the card with low tack masking tape, I've stamped with the two part stamps in black and Pacific Point, then scribbled some of the marker onto an acrylic block, picked up some of the ink with a colour duster and added the sentiment.

Thank you so much for looking!

Hi everybody, and a big hello to new member, Sally!

I've made this card for One Layer Wednesday 130: Centered Sentiment, using the Less Is More colour card   (2nd entry).

Inspired by the rather delicious looking doughnuts on the LIM cue card, I've used stamps from the Paper Smooches Sugar Rush set with Brown Archival ink, coloured with pencils and my new SU paper piercing template.

Thanks so much for looking!

One Layer Wednesday 113

Hi everyone, just time to squeeze in a couple more cards for One Layer Wednesday, the challenge this week is to use RED, GREEN and GOLD/YELLOW. I wanted to experiment with my Paula Pascual Christmas stamps.

For the second one, I've stamped freehand (don't think its too bad!) and used a darker shade of red. Wanted to play a bit longer and make a 3rd but I've run out of time.

Thank you for looking!

I inked the stamp using red and green markers, coloured the flowers in and added gold Liquid Pearls in the centres. Stamp by Woodware.

OLW week 110

Hi everybody, One Layer Wednesday is being hosted by the very talented Heather this week, and the challenge is to incorporate squares into your card.

I've used distressed alphabet stamps from Craftwork Cards for the squares, holly stamp also by Craftwork Cards and word stamp by Paula Pascual. Different colours and words could also be used for a different look.

OLW challenge 106 and Craft a Scene

Hi everyone, One Layer Wednesday challenge this week is to use SPONGING.

Craft A Scene September challenge is to make a scene using TREES.

I've used tree and flower stamps by Katy Sue Designs, words stamp by Hobby Art.

I do find sponging quite a difficult technique and shortly after I had begun this card, I was feeling like I wanted to give up! Fingers were covered in blue ink and it seemed like I'd never finish. But in the end it all came together. I think perhaps I am using the wrong type of sponge. I use make-up sponges but would be grateful if anyone has any suggestions as to the best sort of sponge to use.

Thank you for all the lovely comments you have left recently. Its so encouraging, I do so appreciate them and it gives me a link to your blog so I can visit you! Thank you for stopping by, have a good evening.

One Layer Wednesday no 101

Hi everybody and a big hello and welcome to new members Stephanie and Marie!

This is my first entry in the One Layer Wednesday challenge to make a card using the colour BLUE. I would also like to enter this card into the Addicted to Stamps challenge (2nd entry), theme challenge #2 - a card for BOYS.

I've stamped all the elements with Ranger Distress Ink (Faded Jeans) and water-coloured with Aqua Markers.

Ocean scene, bird and anchor stamps by Kanban, sentiment stamp by Craftwork Cards.

I also made a DL version, as I don't have many mens cards in my stash - this time I stamped with black Memento and water-coloured with Ranger Distress Inks (sentiment stamp by Dawn Bibby Designs).

Was hoping to carry on crafting but the craft room is a little hot to say the least!
