Hi everyone and happy Saturday.
Sorry, yet another alcohol inks card (hey, I'm having fun!). I made a few pieces with the inks and acetate and wasn't that happy with them. There was some silver kitchen foil on the table so I decided to back my inky panel with a piece of scrunched up foil which I attached to the acetate with double-sided adhesive sheet, cut out my butterfly and voila, it was redeemed!
So I guess the moral of the story is not to throw away your alcohol ink pieces which you think aren't totally fabulous, maybe they can have a second life.
I used some embossing paste through a stencil for a bit of texture in the background, added a few sequins and stamped sentiment.

Your alcohol ink cards are truly lovely. I love the leaves in green and the blues and purples are beautiful together. This butterfly is so pretty and I just threw away some silver foil that I could have used to do this technique. Thanks for all the inspiration.
Beautiful butterfly! And I love the added texture of the paste/stenciled background. Thanks for playing along with us at CC&S!

Gorgeous mix of colours on your acetate AI butterfly Sue. Great idea to add the silver foil for the backing ... I can just see a few bits of silver among the colours and it looks so pretty. Love the design with the added texture from your embossing paste. Thanks so much for sharing with us again at CAS Mix Up!! xx
Totally stunning, the rich colour is amazing and the soft background of paste such a wonderful contrast. Superb card and so pleased you added it to Ink x

Echoing the others in expressing how stunning your butterfly is! Most deserving of its solo performance on the stage! So thrilled you shared your creativity in the Inkspirational *Flutter* gallery!
