Merry Monday #73

Hi everyone, this is my first entry ever on Merry Monday Christmas Card Club: use red, green and kraft on your card plus ribbon or twine.

Stamps from Bells and Boughs by PTI, inked with SU markers (Wild Wasabi, Real Red and Crumb Cake) and some Crumb Cake card. It's a stamped ribbon, hope this is OK.

Addicted to Stamps and More #61 - Anything goes

Hi everyone, it's time for the start of a new challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More and this week it's Anything Goes.

Our fabulous sponsor is Paper Nest Dolls who will be offering a prize to our Top Addict.

For my DT card, it's another silhouette design. I had made this background a couple of weeks ago while playing around by colouring a piece of white card using some Cut N Dry foam and a few different TH distress ink colours and then splashed it with water. Thought my new Sheena Douglass stamps would be good to go, so stamped the flowers and butterfly in black Archival, sentiment by Hobby Art. Was going to mount it on a coloured card but I think white looks better ...

Hi everybody, hope you are all well.

I made this card using the acrylic block watercolour technique with SU! Perfect Plum and Marina Mist markers. Flowers (Sheena Douglass), birds and sentiment (Hobby Art) stamped in black Archival and I drew the frame.

Less Is More 135 and 52CCT week 5

Hi everyone, this is for Less Is More: use a stamp with the option of water colouring and 52 Christmas Card Throwdown: pick a previous sketch AND colours. I chose the July sketch and colours.

The stamps (Waltzing Mouse) were inked with SU markers and then sprayed lightly with water for a watercolour look.

ATSM#60 - Photo Inspiration with a twist

Hi everybody, I hope you're having a good week so far! 

This week at Addicted to Stamps and More the challenge is to use our photo inspiration.

You could take the colours, grass, water, clouds, lighthouse ...

OR there are a further two options: create a project using an image from our sponsor, Nicecrane Designs, OR take inspiration from the photo and use it with a Nicecrane Image. 

For my DT card, I've chosen to use the colours from the photo with stamps from Vintage Florals by WPlus9, border punch by Martha Stewart.

House of Cards and FBW#249

Hi everyone, hope you're having a great weekend!

I've made this for House of Cards month 2: use sketch - Classic and Elegant. Just scraped in near the deadline but I really wanted to do the whole month.  Here's the sketch.

Would also like to enter this at Flutter By Wednesday: wet or dry embossing.

The card was difficult to photograph well and I was a bit worried that the sentiment being stamped in a light colour was a little hard to read but I wanted to keep the whole thing quite subtle. The oval die cut was inked with a little lavender TH distress ink which was also used to stamp the sentiment and I added two pearls.

Embossing folder and butterfly die by Sizzix, oval and sentiment die cuts by Spellbinders, stamps by Waltzing Mouse.

My DT card was inspired by the lovely colour combination at Dynamic Duos (Pool Party and Black with Dessert Option: Embossing) which I thought would be nice with the lovely new Stampin' Up! Wetlands set. I think the little birds are having their own "pool party"! Stamps, embossing folder and marker pen all by SU!
