Birthday Wishes

Hi crafting friends, happy Saturday.  I hope you're having a good weekend!

Firstly, I would like to say hello and welcome to my newest blog follower, Brenda! Thank you for your interest in my blog, Brenda.

Do you like colour challenges?  I find it fun and interesting to try and match my stamps and dies for colour challenges to (hopefully) achieve a pleasing combination.  My card today is using the fun colours at Colour Me.

I started by inking with Island Indigo through a diecut oval.  The sentiment banner was diecut and stamped, then the little chicks were stamped straight onto the card, then stamped again on white card, coloured and fussy cut.  The balloon cords were stamped and the balloons are diecut hearts, inked and crystal lacquered.

Am also linking up to CAS-ology, where the theme is BIRTHDAY, and showCASe your style, where I've taken inspiration from the balloons in the photo.

Thank you for popping in, have a lovely weekend xx

Addicted to Stamps and More #129 - CAS

Hi everyone, I hope you're week has been good so far!

It's time to start a new challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More and this week's theme is ... Clean and Simple.

Our fabulous sponsor is Stamplorations and the winner's prize will be a $10 gift certificate!

My DT card was quite quick and simple to make using a punch and some dies.  The little tags were punched out of card in four different shades of red and the diecut letters and heart attached.  The "you" was diecut twice in red and white and the white laid over the red one.

Don't forget to pop over to the ATSM challenge blog to see the lovely inspiration that the other DT ladies have made and we look forward to seeing your fabulous creations and visiting you blogs.

Also linking up to The Card Concept - Love (Clean and Simple) and Inkspirational - Ombre.

Thank you so much for stopping by today and for your lovely comments xx

Two little owls

Hello crafting friends. Happy Saturday, I hope you're having a nice day!

This is my entry for ColourQ #276, also linking up to Time Out where the theme is Valentine's Day with the optional twist of hearts and Fusion - Two Hearts.

To make my card, I brushed on ink over a cloud template, stamped and coloured the owls and fussy cut them, added diecut branch, sentiment and hearts.

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my blog today. Have a lovely weekend xx

Friend

Hello crafting friends, happy Thursday!

My first crafty purchase of 2015. A cute little foxy stamp set which I used to make this card with the colour choice at Colour Me.  Also linking up to CAS-ology and Less Is More which both have the theme of Friend.

The little fox was stamped in black Archival, coloured with distress ink and wet brush and the colour intensified with a colouring pencil, the grass was inked with an SU! marker and the sun is a diecut inked with SU! ink.

I have to admit I was in two minds about whether to leave the frame white but then decided to add some colour with a stencil and duster brush for some extra "sunshine".

Thank you for popping by today, have a great evening! xx

Blue poppies

Hi everyone, I hope you're well and had a good weekend!

I love making cards with flowers on them and poppies are one of my favourites.

The stamp was inked with distress ink and spritzed with water before stamping and I moved some of the colour about with a wet brush.

Linking up to Happy Little Stampers CAS challenge - Watercolour, Uniko Studios - Love and Friendship and CAS-ology - NBUS (never before used poppy stamp set).  Also for Less Is More where this week's theme is Friends.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by today. Have a great rest of the week! xx

Pink Roses

Hello everyone, I hope you're having a good weekend.

Just a quick post to show you a card I've made for The Card Concept (Freestyle Collage) (Happy 1st Anniversary), inspired by the flowers and colours. Also linking to Uniko Studios (Love and Friendship) and Happy Little Stampers (Sketch).

To make my card I started by brushing pale blue ink onto the bottom of a piece of card, stamped and heat embossed the roses with clear powder and coloured using distress inks and wet brush, added the diecut leaves and stamped the hearts and sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by today, take care xx

Have a lovely day!

Hi everyone, I hope you're well and the weather isn't being too unkind!

I've made another card for Time Out as the photo inspiration is lovely this week and I wanted to have another go! This time I've taken inspiration from the row of cushions and the flower pattern

The flowers were stamped in black Memento and coloured with Promarkers and then I cut out three squares from the larger image.

The flowers were coloured using the ColourQ selection and am also linking to Darnell's fun NBUS (never before used schtuff) and CAS-ology where the theme is also NBUS, as this is the first trip out for the Blossoming Buds stamp set and

Thank you for visiting my blog and for your lovely comments which I always appreciate and love reading xx

Addicted To Stamps and More #127 - Make Your Mark

Hello dear friends, I hope you're keeping well! Greetings and welcome to new blog follower, Vicki.

I am back from a blog break for the start of the first challenge of 2015 with Addicted to Stamps and More and the theme this week is Make Your Mark: create a project using pens, paints, chalks or colouring pencils.

First some DT news. Sadly a few of our lovely DT members have departed but we have been joined by some fabulous new designers: Dana, Karen and Sarah. Please do visit their blogs to see their beautiful work.

Our generous sponsor for this challenge is CAS-ual Fridays Stamps and our winner will receive a $20 gift certificate to spend at their store, yay!!

I've used the lovely watermark which the very talented Kylie created for me on my DT card photo. To start the new year, I've used a technique which is new to me. To make the bokeh background I brushed water onto some watercolour card and added watercolour paints, punched some different sized circles out of card and used them to sponge through the white dye ink. Then diecut the "hello" diecut in the background and then out of white card and inlaid the two together.

Don't forget to check out the DT inspiration over at the ATSM challenge blog and we hope you will be inspired to join in the fun!

Time Out - Photo Inspiration (I've used the orange and "hello")

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today xx
