ATSM #55 and CAS-ology #54

Hello everyone, it's the start of a new challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More. This week we have photo inspiration and, as you can see, there is plenty to take from the photo: black background, stripes, colours, words, candles, flames ...

For my DT card, I used a (very old) candles stamp by Posh Impressions inked with SU markers, sentiment stamp by Stampin' Up! I went over the candle flames with a Quickie glue pen and added some gold leaf.

Hi everyone, our new codeword at Addicted to CAS is Glitter, selected by the lovely Shana who is our host for the next two weeks.

My DT card

Glitter always makes me think of Christmas, so I took the opportunity to use some of my old and cherished Christmas stamps. The outline holly, solid holly and sentiment are by De Nami. I used a round punch for the glittery holly berries and doodled a frame to link everything together.

Less Is More week 127

Hi everyone, I've made this for Less Is More (which I haven't been able to join in with much recently). This week is a colour challenge - Shades of Grey, and the lovely Chrissie and Jen would like to see two or more shades.

My two shades of grey are Tim Holtz pumice stone and Nick Bantock charcoal grey. Stamps by PTI and postage stamp die by MFT. I felt the muted colour palette called for a sympathy/thinking of you sort of card.

This card was my second attempt, here is my first go.

Addicted to Stamps and More #53

Hi everybody, and hello and welcome to new member, Maudieroff of Roffey Creations!

It's time for a new weekly challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More. This week it's a colour challenge and I'm sure you will agree, we have a lovely colour selection which can be used in so many ways.

My DT card

I've used a little leafy stamp in green on the frame and a second stamping for the inner frame to achieve a softer, "faded" look. I had quite a few goes at this before I got it right and just when I felt I'd got it right, I put the stamp ink side down on it by mistake and had to do it again, quite a few diecuts going in the bin!

The flower was stamped twice, once pink on pink card and once pink on white for the centre. The leaf was stamped twice green ink on green card and cut out. All stamps from Folk Art set by Waltzingmouse. Am enjoying using this set as it's so versatile both for pattern-building and for individual elements. 

I've also taken inspiration from the Fusion sketch.

Addicted to Stamps and More #52 - Make Your Mark

Hi everyone, the new challenge this week at Addicted to Stamps and More is ... Make Your Mark! Create something using marker pens, colouring pencils or crayons.

Our fabulous sponsor is Melonheadz Illustrations who will be awarding a prize to our Top Addict.

For my DT card, I cut a circle and stamped the flowers (Penny Black) in black Memento, coloured in with Promarkers and added some TH distress ink with a colour duster, attached the circle to a card blank and added a sentiment and twine bow.
