Less Is More week 156

Hi everyone, my card for today is for the Less Is More challenge, and this week it's a sketch.

Here's how I made my card:

1. Tear two strips of white card, ink the edges, attach to card blank and add Glossy Accents and WOW white puff embossing powder and heat.
2. Cut penguin and hat diecuts, colour penguin and add some more puff embossing powder to make bobbles. When bobbles are dry colour with a distress ink marker. Add sentiment.

[edit: apologies for accidentally posting last night without the card. When I realised I would have to wait til this morning to take a photo, I thought I'd saved the post as a draft.]

Would also like to add this to:

ABC Christmas Challenges - B is for Bare minimum - minimum embellishments

Supplies
Stamps and dies - Clearly Besotted Let It Snow
WOW white puff embossing powder
Barn door distress ink and marker - Tim Holtz

Addicted to Stamps and More #80 - Photo inspiration

Hi everyone, it's time for the start of a new challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More and this week we have fun and colourful photo inspiration.

Our generous sponsor is Deedee's Digis and the winner will receive a fabulous prize of their choice of three sets of digis from her store.

Here's how I made my DT card:

1 Ink a square of textured card with distress inks and attach to card blank
2, Cut a heart aperture in a square of white card (I didn't have a suitable die for this so cut it out with a craft knife), chop up foliage diecuts and attach them to the back of the card so they show in the aperture.
3. Attach heart panel to card, add sentiment and candy dots.

There is fabulous DT inspiration over at the ATSM challenge blog so please do check it out and we hope you will join in the fun.

Here is this week's fabulous inspiration.

Hello everyone, I hope you're having a good weekend. It's a lovely sunny day here! There must be something wrong - it's not raining :D

I'd like to show you two cards I made yesterday and here is the first. (Wow, two cards in one day, that hasn't happened for a while!)

I was inspired by the soft pretty colour palette at Colour Me. To make this, I used an embossing folder to emboss the bottom of the white panel layered onto some DP, diecut and stamped some flowers (my new PTI Bigger Blooms set) and added a sentiment, twine and dots. This card is also for Addicted to CAS - New.

ATSM #77 - Make Your Mark

Hi everybody, I would like to wish all a happy, healthy and prosperous 2014 and to say a very big "THANK YOU" to all my followers and crafting and blogging friends for your lovely comments and support.

It's time to start the very first challenge of the year at Addicted to Stamps and More and the theme is Make Your Mark - use markers, pens, paints, chalks and/or pencils on your project.

Our generous sponsor is Deedee's Digis and our winner will receive their choice of three digi sets from her shop. Also we are very excited to have a very talented guest designer, Gemma of Gem's Little Creations joining us for this week and next, so please do pop over to her blog and say hi.

The month of January is often quite grey in the UK so I wanted to make something with bright summery colours. For my DT card I stamped the flowers first in black Archival and drew a frame lightly in pencil. I then added colour using TH distress inks and aqua brush, intensified the colours with aqua colouring pencils, drew the frame in with a black micro pen and added the butterfly and sentiment.

The DT have a beautiful array of creations to show you so don't forget to check it out at the ATSM challenge blog and we hope you can join in the fun!
