Alcohol inks foliage

I'm sorry I've been MIA on a longer-than-anticipated bloggie break. Partly due to finding it hard to get back into the "swing" and a long wait to receive the alcohol inks I sent off for between Christmas and New Year which I now have. 😄

Anyhoo, onto to my card. I cut my foliage (this has to be one of my favourite dies) from an inky panel and here's how I made it.

1. Drip some alcohol inks onto yupo paper (I used different greens and some gold) and move them around by tilting the paper and/or blowing through a drinking straw.

2. Drizzle on some more inks and/or blending solution and move it around.  Repeat until you feel it is complete.

I backed my yupo paper with some double-sided adhesive before I began to make it easier to cut and attach to the card, and the sentiment is heat embossed with gold.

Hope to be back soon with some more alcohol ink creations.

Would like to enter my card in the following;

CAS Mix Up - January challenge
(my mixed media are stamping, alcohol inks, die-cutting, heat embossing)

Gorgeous card Sue, the colours are so pretty and the die goes perfectly with the wonky frame. Thanks for the tip about moving the ink around too, I'd forgotten that :) Cathy x
