ATSM, CAS On Sunday, Christmas Card Challenges, Less Is More

Hi everyone, I hope you're having a good week!

The theme this week at Less Is More is "Emboss Resist Technique". This is such a fun technique and I wanted to have a go and was going to make something with white embossing on white card then after a bit more thought - hmmmm.  I'm keen to use more coloured card bases so decided to go with a grey card base and here it is.

I've heat embossed my moon and tree in white and inked with Cut N Dry foam in white and various shades of blue distress inks. Little dots of glue pen and white embossing powder for snowflakes.

We are having our annual children's Christmas event at church on Saturday afternoon, there will be lots of craft activities for the children to take part in, refreshments and the children will hear the story of the first Christmas. My craft activity is to decorate wooden star shapes with pens, glitter, sequins etc and I'm going to have a go at making one shortly. Then church on Sunday and After Church Fellowship in the evening with Christmas-ey snack goodies. Hope you have some good plans for the weekend!

Thanks for stopping by xx

Such a beautiful, evocative scene Sue! I love the grey card stock and how the night sky draws the eye, being set against it. Great use of the emboss resist technique and a gorgeous card as the end result! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Less is More :)

Love the deep shades of blue in your night sky, Sue. And the grey base is lovely, really softens it.
Thanks for sharing with us.

A beautiful inky and wintery scene Sue although I think you may have linked to more challenges than we allow at Less is More. Our maximum is 5 including our own. Thanks so much for sharing your gorgeous card with us though this week. Sarah x

Hi Sue, thanks so much for popping by my (new) blog today, so nice to hear fro you! I had some issues with my old blog and changed to a new address some time ago. I'm glad you like my latest cards! I think the grey card base was a wonderful choice, looks really unique and more personal than just white base. Enjoy your weekend!

Ooooh! This is a wonderfully dramatic scene Sue. The richness of the blues are a fab contrast for the embossing, which is beautifully clean. Such a pretty card. Thanks so much for joining us at Less is More xx
