Hi everyone, this is something I made today for a few challenges.
I stamped and heat embossed the Nativity scene in white, did some inking with TH distress inks and stamped the words in brown Archival. This is actually my third attempt. I tried twice to emboss with clear embossing powder but it was too "grainy" and didn't give enough detail, so I then embossed with white detail powder (although it looks cream!?).
This is for CAS-ology, CAS-ual Fridays, and One Layer Wednesday (No Red/Green) which is currently being hosted by Ardyth.
Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a nice day!
Sue xx

Beautiful card. It does look cream but it's really pretty in the center of the brown.
Ah yes, the mis-naming of 'white' embossing powder. Mine is always cream as well, but yours pops nicely in the centre of the rich brown! Thanks so much for joining OLW and CASology this week!
Sue, this is a gorgeous Christmas card! I love the brown inked circle around the Nativity silhouette...a great layout all around! Thanks for joining us at CASology this week!
This is such a wonderful technique Sue, and perfect for the CAS-ual Fridays challenge - love the sponged Distress ink on a heat set image - you could do this for some many stamps! Thanks for playing along with us at CAS-ual Fridays ;-)
Hi Sue. Gorgeous image and I love it done in the white embossing with the brown sponging. Super creative! Loll xx
What a fantastic idea to sponge the area around the nativity....really makes the image pop! Thanks for playing along with CAS-ual Fridays! :)
This is so lovely, Sue ... the inking around the creamy nativity scene has a wonderful rich and gentle look to it ... simply fabulous! Anita :)
