Word Art Wednesday challenge 34

"In all things of nature there is something of the marvellous"

Hi everyone, this is my creation for entry in the Word Art Wednesday challenge 34.

Unfortunately I still don't have a printer so I decided to make something using my new stamp set, "Garden Silhouettes" by Sheena Douglas.**

I cut a piece of white card a little smaller than my card blank, added Tim Holtz Distress Inks using some Cut and Dry foam, stamped and cut an aperture. Then added some colour and more stamping onto the card blank and mounted the frame over the card with Pinflair Glue Gel.

I'm hoping to have time to post some more cards made with these lovely stamps.

** TIP: I don't usually buy unmounted rubber stamps in sheets as its quite fiddly to cut them all out and mount them onto U-Mount which is what I have done in the past., but find its much easier to use Tack 'N Peel film on an acrylic block. You can use the other side of the block for your acrylic stamps.

Tack 'N Peel is a film which you can cut to fit your acrylic or wooden block and it's self-adhesive. Once it's stuck to the block, take off the protective layer and then your rubber stamp will stick to the tacky surface. When you have finished, you can take the stamp off and put it away and place the protective film back over the tacky surface. You can keep the surface tacky by rinsing it with water and air-drying it which preserves the adhesive layer so the stickiness can be restored a number of times.

Hi Sue!
This card is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! You've stamped it so well, and the details are just amazing. WOW! I didn't know you don't have a printer. If you ever want some of the Word Art Wednesday scriptures printed out, I'd be happy to do it for you and mail them to you to use on your art. Just let me know.
Thanks for sharing with us at Word Art Wednesday. We are definitely blessed to have you playing along with us and sharing such beautiful work!
Blessings to you,

Karen, thank you so much, that's such a kind offer. I did have a printer until recently but it has stopped working and is probably not repairable. I did have an idea to take up calligraphy again and write out some scriptures. God bless you. Sue x

Oh Sue... this is amazing!!! You did an incredible job with this aperture card and the beautiful garden stamps! I love it! Great tip on how to use unmounted stamps too! I do much the same myself!

This is gorgeous, beautifully stamped. I'd be interested in hearing more detail for the Tack and Peel film, I've not heard about it before

Thanks, Margaret. I do find it so much easier to use with unmounted rubber stamps. I've added a bit more to my post about it. Sue x

A beautiful combination of stamping and inkiness! I love how the sentiment has been framed with foliage.
