CAS Mix Up, CAS-ual Fridays, Time Out

Hello everyone, I do hope you are well and having a good week!

My card today is inspired by the Time Out "Home Sweet Home" photo inspiration. 

I've stamped my flowers and coloured in with Copics, embossed some card with a "brick" embossing folder and die cut a window and sentiment.

Am also very happy to be linking up with Loll and Bonnie's CAS Mix Up where the theme this month is Stamping + Die Cuts + Your Choice (I've used stamping, die cuts, dry embossing and colouring).

I haven't been able to post here for a while due to unfortunate circumstances and being busy with other things and am so happy that I've had an opportunity to do some crafting and join in with some of your lovely challenges. Happy Little Stampers April CAS Challenge (DT)

Hello everyone, I hope you're having a nice weekend and enjoying some sunshine.

It's time to start a new CAS challenge at Happy Little Stampers and this month the technique/theme is Stencil Monoprint.

The prizes are $30 Happy Little Stampers gift certificate for the winner and $10 HLS gift certificates for each of the Favourites.

I have to confess I wasn't in the know about this technique but after watching a couple of little tutorials, all became clear!

To make my DT card, I inked a chevron stencil using a piece of Cut N Dry foam and two shades of blue distress ink, misted lightly with water and pressed the stencil down onto a piece of card. I die cut a panel out of that, added a butterfly coloured with Chameleon pens and heat embossed sentiment.

Happy Little Stampers March CAS Challenge (DT)

Hi everyone, I hope you're having a good week.

It's time to start a new monthly challenge at Happy Little Stampers and our CAS theme is to make a clean and simple card using the technique of Faux Mother of Pearl.

Our sponsor is Happy Little Stampers and the winner will receive a $15 gift certificate to spend in the HLS shop.

I have to admit, I haven't tried this technique before, but after having watched some short tutorials, it was surprisingly simple!

To make my faux mother of pearl, I used some scrunched up cling wrap to lightly apply white Liquid Pearls to a piece of card, let it dry and then sponged on some distress inks.

Misty morning

Hello everyone, I hope all is well with you.

My one layer card was made by masking off the centre, creating an inky background with masks and distress inks and stamping the flowers. I wasn't sure whether to add a sentiment so have just added a small one in the picture.

To make my card, I stamped some ink splats, added die cut foliage and flowers which are sponged with ink and gold paste added in the centres.
