CAS Stencil February Challenge - Reminder

Hi everyone, just a reminder that there is still time to join in at CAS Stencil Card Challenge. The challenge is open until 24 February.

To make my card, I placed the flower stencil on some watercolour card, sprinkled on the powdered inks (Infusions), sprayed with water and removed the stencil.

AECP For The Guys

This is my project for the "For the Guys" module of the Altenew Educator Certification Program.

I have to confess, I don't make many men's cards and the Moroccan Mosaic stamp is possibly the only thing resembling a manly stamp that I have in my Altenew stash.

To make the card, I stamped the background and heat embossed in white. The painting was done using the Altenew watercolour paints set . I die-cut two of the "happy" words, painted one of them and offset it behind the white one. The "birthday" word from the Halftone Happy stamp set was heat embossed in white on dark blue card.

It's the start of a new ATC challenge at Happy Little Stampers and our theme for the month of February is Stencils.

I began by making a background on mixed media paper with distress oxides and water.  I die-cut two circles, stencilled with white acrylic paint and stamped in black.

The rest of the design team have some amazing inspiration for you so do check it out and we look forward to seeing what you create!

Thank you for looking.

True love

I just got some new 3D dies and was eager to use them. Here's what I made.

I cut the pieces from water-colour paper and painted them with watercolour paints, mounted over a heart die-cut.

Thanks for visiting my blog, have a great weekend!

Orange flowers

I made the background by brayering some Persimmon and Follised Amber distress oxides onto a gelli plate, splashing with a little bit of water. The flowers were stamped, coloured with alcohol markers and die-cut.

I've bought a few different flower stamps and dies in the last few weeks and this is one from Clearly Besotted,

Love birds

I die-cut the letters from DP and mounted them on black foam, the little birds are stamped, coloured and die-cut.  Not the usual "love" colours but I felt like doing something different.

CAS Stencil February Challenge (DT)

Today is the start of the February CAS Stencil Challenge.  This month we are using powdered inks (Brushos, Infusions etc) with our stencils and there are some useful videos on the challenge blog.

To make my DT card, I created a background with a stencil and Brushos.  I laid the stencil on top of a piece of mixed media paper, sprinkled on different colours of Brushos and sprayed with water. It's important not to spray too much water as it can make the inks run too much. Lift the stencil and blot with kitchen tissue if needed.  The flower and leaves are heat-embossed, water-coloured with Brushos and fussy-cut (all stamps and stencil by STAMPlorations).

Thank you for visiting my blog and I look forward to seeing your creations!
