Another card using canvas, using a similar technique as the first, but after I made the distress crayon background, I stamped the text with archival ink and then used a stencil and baby wipe to create the flower pattern. This technique is new to me and quite easy to do.
The canvas piece was die cut and placed inside a deckle die cut aperture, backed with a dry embossed panel.

OMG..I LOVE your Distress Crayon canvas stenciled main image placed inside your gorgeous aperture with your dry embossed background. TFS Sue and joining us at CAS Mix Up. Hugs
This is so pretty, Sue! You inspired me to try distress crayon on canvas! Creating the flower pattern with baby wipe (by removing the crayon?) through the stencil looks like an interesting technique. The dry embossed backing panel is a nice subtle touch too. Hideko xx
Fantastic take 2!! The stenciled flowers really show on this piece ... maybe adding the text gives more of a contrast for the removed colour. Whatever the reason, the design is gorgeous. I must give this a try. I've had distress crayons for well over a year and have only tried them a couple of times without any success. This is such a cool technique ... and a beautiful card. Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up! xx
Smashing make, Sue, love the embossing but (for me) the COLOURS are the thing!

What a fun way to add dry embossing to your card, Sue! I love the aperture in your card and the techniques you chose turned out wonderful. Beautiful card. Thanks for joining us at Less Is More!
Simple beautiful...love this card. Thanks for sharing at Less is More!
What a wonderful card Sue - this is so pretty and extremely textural. Where you have removed the colour almost looks to have been embossed!!
Blessings

Wow, this is so soft and feminine. Where you have removed the colour almost looks de-bossed and gives the impression of even more texture
