Using canvas - take 2

Another card using canvas, using a similar technique as the first, but after I made the distress crayon background, I stamped the text with archival ink and then used a stencil and baby wipe to create the flower pattern. This technique is new to me and quite easy to do.

The canvas piece was die cut and placed inside a deckle die cut aperture, backed with a dry embossed panel.

Using canvas

Inspired by the theme at CAS Mix Up which is Cork, Felt or Canvas + Stamping + Your Choice

I rubbed various distress crayons onto a piece of canvas and blended with my finger, then placed a stencil over the top and rubbed over with a baby wipe. It didn't quite come out as I hoped but I was happy with the effect.

Birthday cosmos

Inspired by the CAS Colours and Sketches lovely colour selection.  I brushed blue ink onto the background and the Uniko cosmos flowers were heat embossed in white and water-coloured. 

It is Uniko's 6th birthday and I am joining in the linky party there. Happy birthday, Uniko!

Heart and flowers

I really like the Altenew flower stamps and they're great for water-colouring.  I was inspired by the colours at the Altenew Febuary Inspiration Challenge and thought it would be nice to combine with 'heart/love' theme. Just as I was taking the photo, the evening sun hit the embossing powder and gave it a lovely shine.

The flowers and sentiment were heat-embossed with Altenew platinum embossing powder and the flowers water-coloured and placed behind a die-cut heart aperture.

Spring flowers

I love this week's colours at CAS Colours and Sketches.

I heat embossed the flowers and leaves in white on watercolour card, painted and fussy cut them.

Dance on the breeze of life

The theme at Less Is More is 'Music' and here's what I made.

After masking off the bottom of a mixed media paper, I inked with some distress inks and splashed with water to create a background.

Excited to be guest designer at AAA Cards!

To make my card, I die-cut the balloons from watercolour card, mixed some different shades of red Brushos and watercoloured, dry embossing in the background and heat embossed sentiment.

CAS Watercolour guest designer

I'm delighted to be February guest designer at CAS Watercolour Challenge and here's what I made. 

I mixed Brushos with water, created a background and used a stencil to watercolour the little hearts. The die-cut sentiment has glimmer paste for a little bit of sparkle.
