Light-up Christmas Tree

Here's a card I made last weekend at the Happy Little Stampers craft retreat with Kylie showing us how to make light-up cards and we had a lot of fun.

The tree stamp was inked with distress markers misted with water a few times in different shades of green and highlighted with Wink of Stella. When the sentiment is pressed, the top of the tree lights up (inset photo). It's a pity the sparkle and the light don't show up very well in the photo.

So sorry I am a bit behind with my commenting at the moment ... trying to catch up!

Playing along at five challenges:
AAA Cards - Christmas
Less Is More - Let It Shine
Uniko - Christmas
Watercooler Wednesday - Anything Goes

Fabulous card Sue. The light at the top of the tree looks like a twinkling star. Bet you had a great time with Kylie (I know I did in Manchester). Thanks so much for for sharing this with us at Less is More xx

Putting Kylie’s electrics lesson to good use I see. Works really well for the tree top star. Thanks for linking up at AAA Cards, HLS Christmas and Uniko.

Hi Sue, what a marvellous idea, to have the top of the tree light up! I love it! Great clean and simple design with the tree and those birds. Having the stitching around the perimeter of your layer dresses the card up while staying CAS. Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.
