I'm very happy to be guest designer at Time Out Challenges where the theme for the next fortnight is Sympathy with the optional twist of distressing (use distress inks, distress edges, paper tearing etc).
To make my card, I sponged distress inks onto the leaf die-cuts and arranged them around the die-cut aperture.

Beautiful design for a sympathy card, Sue. Congrats on being Guest Designer at Time Out! xx
This is absolutely gorgeous Sue. I love the shape of the aperture, and the way your beautiful distress inked leaves fall over the edge. Thanks so much for designing with us for this challenge. Your work is wonderful. Stephanie, DT.
This is gorgeous Sue. Fab distressing and I especially like how the leaves overlap the aperture. So good to have you join us at Time Out as our super GD x
Your sympathy card is absolutely perfect! I love the clean and simple design you used and that lovely frame around the edges.
I'd love for you to link this up to the Cropstop blog where anything goes as long as you use something from one of the companies they carry in the store. (You did!)

Love your striking Clean & Simple card...Thanks for sharing! Who makes the die and stamp?
Beautiful card Sue! The arched opening with green leaves curving is striking and clean and simple. Thank you for sharing! Who makes the die and sentiment stamp?
Hi Elaine, thank you so much for visiting my blog and for your kind comments. The leaf die is by Simon Says Stamp and the sentiment is from a set by Clearly Besotted. xx
This is a lovely design for your card. I love the distress ink colors and the aperture is a great one.

So soothing and fresh. Perfect for a sympathy card.
We're so happy to have you guest designing with us at Time Out! Your card is beautiful. Perfect for a sympathy card.
Such a beautiful card. I love the look of those distressed leaves, and the window really frames your focal point wonderfully. Thanks so much for being our Guest Designer at Time Out this week.
Sue this is beautiful and perfect for a sympathy card. This is one my fave dies and it’s so versatile - I love how you cut it in half to have it peep out of the frame in two places. Classy elegant card. Thank you so much for being our guest designer. Jenny x
Gorgeous, Sue ... such wonderfully soft blending on the leaves ... they're so lovely against all the crisp white! Simple and beautiful! Thanks so much for inspiring our players as Guest Designer at Time Out! Hugs, Anita :)
Beautiful card! What is the name of the arched opening die? Thanks!
Hi Elaine. Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving a comment. The die is from a set of Reverse Confetti pierced round top layers.
Wonderful CAS make. I love it! Thank you for your entry and hope you'll join us again in our current Challenge at Word Art Wednesday. Just want to leave you with God's Word in 1 Corinthians 3:10-11 which says, "By the grace God has given me (Paul), I laid a foundation as a wise builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should build with care. 11 For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ." Enjoy the weekend.
