CAS Colours and Sketches, Less Is More, Seize The Birthday

Hi everyone, happy Friday!

I'm feeling in a Spring-y mood and felt like making a card to reflect that!

I cut the "happy" in pink and in white and stamped the flowers and leaves on the white one using little Folk Art Floral stamps inked with SU! markers.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

Hello everyone, just a quick post to share a card I made using this week's luscious CAS Colours and Sketches colours.

I stamped the flowers and leaves and heat embossed with clear powder on watercolour card, painted them with distress inks and an aqua painter.

AAA Cards, HLS CAS, Time Out, Uniko

Hi everyone, I hope you're doing good.

This is an alcohol ink seascape which I've made, inspired by the photo at Time Out and my inspiration was lots of blue and the waves!

Time Out photo inspiration

For my picture, I used Yupo paper and only two alcohol inks - Denim and White, so you can make a picture with only a few inks. The stamped sentiment is from Uniko's Simply Said Birthday set.

ATSM, CAS Mix Up, HLS Anything Goes with Dies, HLS Mixed Media

Greetings, everybody and I hope you're having a good day. We have some lovely sunshine here.

I had a play last night with some different media and this is the result. The leaf was die-cut from black card, then four layers of thick clear embossing powder heated onto it. After that, I dabbed on a Versamark ink pad (please make sure the powder is cool and set before doing this!) and applied mica powders with a soft brush. Then before heating it all again with a heat tool, I inked up a swirly hearts stamp with gold ink and pressed it hard into the molten powder and waited until it had cooled down before lifting the stamp off.  You must use a red rubber stamp and NOT a clear stamp to press into the molten powder. Phew, sorry if that was long-winded!

Also added some torn corrugated card, splats of gold paint and stamped sentiment.

Would like to share this card at four challenges:

Hi everyone, I hope you had a good weekend.

Lots of challenges have the "Love" theme at the moment, so I am back with another Valentine card.  To make the heart, I used a die as a stencil, drew around each aperture with a fine grey pen and coloured in with colouring pencils.

Am linking up to five challenges:

CAS-ual Fridays - Red, Pink and White
House of Cards - Love Theme and/or Colours

The Flower Challenge, HLS CAS, Less Is More, Time Out

Hello everyone, I hope you're well.

Just a quick post to share a card I made yesterday. The theme at The Flower Challenge this month is CASE the Guest Designer, and I was inspired by the beautiful card that Therese made. For my card I used two flowers and partially coloured die-cut sentiment.

The Card Concept, CAS Watercolour, Less Is More

Greetings everyone, happy Tuesday!

I spent a few hours of yesterday crafting and had another foray into the world of alcohol inks, tried out a few different techniques and used a piece to make the hearts on my card (this is the smooshing technique on Yupo card).

Would like to share this in three challenges.

Less Is More is celebrating their 6th blog birthday and their challenge is to use three adjacent colours from the colour wheel.

CAS Mix Up and NBUS

Hi everyone, I hope you're having a good weekend!

The theme at CAS Mix Up is Stamping + Corrugated Cardboard, not something I use very much (the corrugated cardboard, that is) but hey, it's a challenge!

A bit of a happy accident occurred as the croissants I bought a few days ago were packed in wavy corrugated card and I happened to recently purchase a two-part leaf die so I put the two together and hey presto!

I highlighted the ridges of the corrugated with some gilding wax and cut the overlay from gold foiled card.

Also joining in at NBUS - Anything Goes (used new leaf dies) to celebrate Darnell's 5-year blog birthday!

CAS Watercolour, HLS AG with Watercolour, House of Cards, Time Out, Uniko

Hi everyone, happy Friday. I hope you had a good week.

There are a few challenges open at the moment with the theme of "Love", so I wanted to had to make a card using my new little critter stamp. I created the background with watercolour shmooshing and distress inks and coloured the image with Zig pens.

Sharing my card at the following:

Happy Little Stampers - Anything Goes with Watercolour (optional twist - Dies)
House of Cards - Love Theme and/or Colours
Time Out - Inspired by Words:
'Friends are connected heart to heart, distance and time can't break them apart'
Uniko - Anything Goes with optional twist Love

And speaking of little critters, that leads on nicely to a photo of Mixy, the latest addition to my family!

Hope you have a lovely weekend and thank you for stopping by!
