CAS Colours and Sketches, HLS CAS, Less Is More, Seize The Birthday, Uniko

This is the second card I made yesterday and I wanted to experiment with stencils and alcohol inks.

Here's how I made this simple background;
1. Cover the piece of Yupo card with blending solution and then with a pale coloured ink and move it around by tilting the card. Let it dry completely.
2. Place your stencil onto the Yupo and add your darker colours by squeezing the inks directly from the bottle. Let that dry completely before removing the stencil.

Playing along at five challenges:
Less Is More - Anything But Stamps
Seize The Birthday - Anything Goes
Uniko - Flowers

Thanks so much for visiting my blog and for your lovely comments! Have a great weekend.

AAA Cards, ATSM, HLS Anything Goes with Dies, Less Is More

The theme at AAA Cards is Rainbow which I thought would  team up well with the challenge at Less Is More to make a card without using any stamps.

I made a rainbow panel using watercolour paints from which I cut the butterflies, the black stripes were drawn with pencil and ruler and filled in with a black marker and the die-cut sentiment has Wink of Stella.

ATSM, Butterfly Spot Challenge, CAS Watercolour , HLS Watercolour

Butterflies and watercolour are such a lovely combination so I've made another card to play along at CAS Watercolour.

The watercolour panel behind the butterfly aperture was created using acrylic block, watercolour marker pens and water spray.

My computer has broken down and has so far resisted all attempts to re-start so I've lost a few things including my photo signature :(  My kind DH is letting me use his computer.

Hope you're having a great weekend! xx

CAS Mix Up (GD), HLS Anything Goes with Dies, Seize The Birthday, Watercooler Wednesday,

Hi everyone, just a reminder that there is still time to enter the July CAS Mix Up challenge!

Here is my second card using tissue paper. This time I've used it for the main image. My tissue paper was sprayed with shimmer ink sprays (you can just see the shimmer and texture in the photo), glued to white card and die-cut, and stamping and die-cut mirri card sentiment added.

Addicted to CAS, CAS Colours and Sketches, HLS CAS Challenge, Seize The Birthday, Watercooler Wednesday

My card today was inspired by the lovely colour line-up at CAS Colours and Sketches.

The little flowers around the edge of the circle were painted with DIs and aqua brush, the blue background was SU! marker scribbled onto craft mat and misted with water which I used to smoosh a piece of card and the words heat embossed.

CAS on Friday, Color Throwdown, HLS Watercolour, Inkspirational, Seize The Birthday

Dear crafting friends, I hope you are having a good weekend.

Flowers are one of my favourite themes for card-making and this one was inspired by the Color Throwdown colours (orange, brown and green). These colours are autumnal but when I saw the combination I thought about these flower stamps.

I inked my stamp with distress markers, misted with water and stamped. More distress inks were added using water and paint brush.
