Foliage!

Hi everyone and welcome greetings to new member, Kathy.

Here is the first Christmas foliage card which I made by first sponging with red ink through a distressed diamonds mask. I find this mask is so useful for many different types of cards, including Christmas and mens cards.

I stamped the large holly stamp (Personal Impressions) with black Memento and coloured in with an aqua brush and Ranger distress inks. Message stamp by TPC.

For this card I stamped the message (TPC) onto a gold edged die cut and decorated it with leaves punched out of gold and green glitter papers and red pearls.

This card was made by stamping the two leaves (Me and Carrie Lou) onto pale yellow vellum, heat embossing in white and colouring in green. I've attached it to the card after stamping the manuscript (A Stamp in the Hand) with Fired Brick distress ink and adding another couple of pieces of vellum.

Well, that's my ahem (non one-layer) foliage cards.

All things grow with love!

"All things grow with love"

Hi everyone, Addicted to Stamps have a new challenge blog and this is the card I've made for challenge #1 "Mark your mark" to make a card using markers.

The pink and silver pieces have been embossed using the Sizzix Embossing Boutique and the silver foiled diecut is a Stackable by Hunkydory.

The flower and butterfly stamps are also by Hunkydory and coloured with Promarkers and I have used a little flower from the set to make a background.

Word stamp by TPC.

May your day be ...

"May your day be as bright as a flower"

I made this by spritzing a piece of white card lightly with water, add a few different colours of Twinkling H20s and then add another spritz of mica over the top to help move the colours around**.

Let it dry and then stamp over the top. I have used Boho Blooms stamps set by TPC. The two large swirls were stamped with Silkies pearlescent paint by Imagination Crafts, other stamping with black dye ink.

** TIP: I made a pearlescent mica spray by mixing a small amount of Cosmic Shimmer mica powder and some warm water in a little spray bottle. Don't keep these mixtures for long as they tend to "go off"!

Bicycle card 1

Hi everyone, to make this card I took a piece of white card and inked it with Tim Holtz distress inks using a piece of Cut and Dry Foam. The foliage and bicycle stamps are by Kaisercraft and message stamp by TPC, stamped with sepia archival ink.
