In the lane ...

Hi everyone, I hope you're well and having a good day!

At Merry Monday, the theme is Sparkle, Bling and Shine and here's what I've made.

I've done some inking, masking and stamping, used a glue pen here and there to adhere some glitter, heat embossed the sentiment in black sparkle embossing powder and used Glossy Accents for my "shiny moon" (a little hard to see in the photo!).

Would also like to enter my card at:

Flowers and sunshine

Hi everyone, I hope you're having a good week!

Inspired by the ColourQ colours and the theme at Less Is More - Hello Sunshine, I made my one layer card by inking the stamps with SU! markers and spritzing with water before stamping for a watercolour effect. It's a little bit unpredictable and you can get some interesting effects but be careful not to spray on too much water as it can make puddles on your card!

Not too much sunshine around today so photographing was a bit tricky. I used the flash but not convinced it's an OK photo.

Happy 4th Birthday Less Is More!

Hi everyone, the fabulous CAS challenge Less Is More is celebrating their 4th birthday.  The theme is PINK and GREY and here's my card.

The watercolour background was made by smooshing distress inks onto a craft sheet, misting with water and placing a piece of watercolour card over. The branch is a die cut and the owl was stamped with black Archival, coloured with coloured pencils and fussy cut.

Am also linking up to Happy Little Stampers Sketch challenge and Just Add Ink (photo inspiration).

Thanks for looking xx

Friend

Hello crafting friends, happy Thursday!

My first crafty purchase of 2015. A cute little foxy stamp set which I used to make this card with the colour choice at Colour Me.  Also linking up to CAS-ology and Less Is More which both have the theme of Friend.

The little fox was stamped in black Archival, coloured with distress ink and wet brush and the colour intensified with a colouring pencil, the grass was inked with an SU! marker and the sun is a diecut inked with SU! ink.

I have to admit I was in two minds about whether to leave the frame white but then decided to add some colour with a stencil and duster brush for some extra "sunshine".

Thank you for popping by today, have a great evening! xx

ATSM #94 - CAS

Hi everyone, I hope you are well and had an enjoyable Bank Holiday!

It's time for a new challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More and this week our theme is CAS (Clean and Simple). Our fabulous sponsor is Stamp Art Design and there is a prize of five free digis for our Top Addict!

My DT card was inspired by a few challenges. Firstly, the theme at Addicted to CAS is Grunge. I don't make many grunge cards but wanted to have a go. I've used the colours from CAS Colours and Sketches and would also like to link up to Less Is More who would like to see 3 colours or 3 shades of one colour.

Do check out the fabulous inspiration from the other DT ladies over at the ATSM challenge blog and we look forward to seeing your beautiful CAS creations!

CTS#71, LIM#166 and Card Concept #7

Hello everybody, I hope you're having a good day!

I'd like to show you a card I made for a few challenges. Actually I'm not quite sure about it because it's yet another case of the infamous white embossing powder which looks ahem, cream. This is the one by Cosmic Shimmer which is described on the tub as "True White". Oh well ... I will let you decide. After heat embossing the images were coloured using an aqua brush and distress inks.

Less Is More week 156

Hi everyone, my card for today is for the Less Is More challenge, and this week it's a sketch.

Here's how I made my card:

1. Tear two strips of white card, ink the edges, attach to card blank and add Glossy Accents and WOW white puff embossing powder and heat.
2. Cut penguin and hat diecuts, colour penguin and add some more puff embossing powder to make bobbles. When bobbles are dry colour with a distress ink marker. Add sentiment.

[edit: apologies for accidentally posting last night without the card. When I realised I would have to wait til this morning to take a photo, I thought I'd saved the post as a draft.]

Would also like to add this to:

Stamps and dies - Clearly Besotted Let It Snow
WOW white puff embossing powder
Barn door distress ink and marker - Tim Holtz

Less Is More week 143

Hi everyone, I hope you are well and didn't suffer any storm damage this week. Although we had a lot of rain and it was quite windy, we were lucky not to suffer any damage but there is a tree down across the road quite close to here.

When I saw that the recipe at Less Is More is to use string or twine, I wanted to make a card with something to do with sewing but I don't have the appropriate stamps so here is what I came up with.

I cut a bobbin from card, used an embossing tool to give it some dimension and wound the twine around it, stamped a lace border and attached the bobbin and two buttons. The sentiment is hand written.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Less Is More 135 and 52CCT week 5

Hi everyone, this is for Less Is More: use a stamp with the option of water colouring and 52 Christmas Card Throwdown: pick a previous sketch AND colours. I chose the July sketch and colours.

The stamps (Waltzing Mouse) were inked with SU markers and then sprayed lightly with water for a watercolour look.

Thanks for taking the time to look!

Less Is More week 122 and The Play Date Cafe #184

Hello, lovely crafters and bloggers.

This week's Less Is More challenge is a colour challenge - use the colour of your front door and here is my card. My front door is white with a Georgian panel in the top half which I've used as inspiration

This week's lovely Play Date Cafe colours - Smokey plum - Cherry Blossom - Lava also provided inspiration and the flower is made using Memory Box Cherry Blossom die (window die also by Memory Box).

For the panel behind the window, I inked using a little sponge and 3 TH distress inks - Dusty Concord, Victorian Velvet and Barn Door, then splashed with water. Sorry about the shadows on the photo, it's that time of day!

Thanks for stopping by, have a lovely evening.

Sue x
