ATSM #94 - CAS

Hi everyone, I hope you are well and had an enjoyable Bank Holiday!

It's time for a new challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More and this week our theme is CAS (Clean and Simple). Our fabulous sponsor is Stamp Art Design and there is a prize of five free digis for our Top Addict!

My DT card was inspired by a few challenges. Firstly, the theme at Addicted to CAS is Grunge. I don't make many grunge cards but wanted to have a go. I've used the colours from CAS Colours and Sketches and would also like to link up to Less Is More who would like to see 3 colours or 3 shades of one colour.

ATSM #92 - Make Your Mark

Hi everybody, I hope you're all well and had a lovely Easter! I had a really  fabulous day yesterday meeting up and lunching with Kylie, Marina, Monika, Sandie, Sylvia and Val! We had a great time and it was so nice to meet all these lovely ladies.

It's time for the start of a new challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More and this week's theme is Make Your Mark - create something using pens, markers, pencils, crayons, chalks or pastels.

For my DT card, I've stamped in black Archival, coloured in with watercolour pencils and blended with a brush and water.

ATSM #82 - Make Your Mark

Hi everyone, I hope you're well and keeping dry! A big hello and welcome to new members Kristie and Charissa. 

It's time for the start of a new challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More and this week it's "Mark Your Mark" - use markers, paints, pens chalks and pencils on your project.

We are very pleased to have the very creative Dawn as our Guest Designer again this week, and our Top Addict will receive a prize from our generous sponsor, StampArt Design.

For my DT card, I created the grass with torn strips of vellum, scribbled a marker on my non-stick craft sheet and picked up the colour with a duster brush (the cloud masks are diecuts) to make the sky, stamped and fussy cut the two little sheep by inking with a marker pen.

At Make My Monday, the theme is "Love Is In The Air" and at Addicted to CAS - Love.

Hello everyone, I hope you're having a good weekend. It's a lovely sunny day here! There must be something wrong - it's not raining :D

I'd like to show you two cards I made yesterday and here is the first. (Wow, two cards in one day, that hasn't happened for a while!)

I was inspired by the soft pretty colour palette at Colour Me. To make this, I used an embossing folder to emboss the bottom of the white panel layered onto some DP, diecut and stamped some flowers (my new PTI Bigger Blooms set) and added a sentiment, twine and dots. This card is also for Addicted to CAS - New.

Hello everyone, my card today was inspired by the die-cuts theme at Addicted to CAS.

A very quick and simple card - I cut a square of paper, added diecut frame, foliage and butterfly with adhesive pearls.

Here's how I made my DT card. I used a die to cut my mask out of card then inked through the aperture with some Cut N Dry Foam and TH distress inks, stamped the scrolls, candle and flame with various distress inks and the lantern, chain and sentiment in black Archival.

Addicted to CAS #24

Hi everybody, this is my DT card for the new challenge at Addicted to CAS. The codeword is TRANSPARENT which was chosen by the very talented Christine who is our hostess for the next two weeks.

Our generous sponsor is Nicecrane Designs and our Top Addict will receive a $20 gift certificate to spend at their online store.

I stamped the window frame twice in sepia Archival, one for the card and one to use as a mask by cutting the middle part out with a craft knife. After brushing on some blue ink for the sky I stamped the branch and pumpkins and coloured them using SU! markers and an aqua brush.

ATCAS #23

Hi everybody, it's time for a new challenge at Addicted to CAS. Our code word is Autumn/Fall selected by the lovely Sylvia who will be our hostess for the next fortnight.

Our generous sponsor is Paper Nest Dolls who will be offering a generous prize to our CAS Perfectionist. 

Here's how I made my autumn leaves:

1. Take a piece of double-sided sticky sheet. Peel the backing off of one side, stamp your image onto the sheet with black Archival and then place a piece of clear acetate sheet over the top.

2. Trim roughly around the image, turn the piece over and peel off the backing on the second side.

3. Apply mica powders/glitter to that side of the sticky sheet, cut out your image and attach to your project.

Leaf stamp by Me and Carrie Lou, word stamp by Inkylicious, mica powders by Pearl-Ex. The sheen and sparkle on the mica doesn't show up at all well on the photos.

TIP: clear/mother of pearl sequins can be coloured with Promarkers or other alcohol pens to match your project.

ATCAS #19 - SUMMER

Hello everyone, I do hope you are all well.

It's time for a new challenge at Addicted to CAS and the code word is Summer.

Our fabulous sponsor is Inspired by Stamping who will be offering a generous prize to our CAS Perfectionist.

I had been waiting for what seemed like ages to get a set of PTI flip-flops stamps and dies and this seemed an ideal opportunity to use them. 

Colour inspiration was provided by ColourQ #200.

The stamps were inked using SU! markers. I didn't have any Midnight Muse card for the flip-flop straps so I began by cutting them from white card and colouring with the SU! marker but that came out too dark - it looked nearly black so I cut more in white and used the marker with an aqua brush but that didn't seem to be dark enough! Anyhoo, the sentiment is stamped with Midnight Muse.

Glitter always makes me think of Christmas, so I took the opportunity to use some of my old and cherished Christmas stamps. The outline holly, solid holly and sentiment are by De Nami. I used a round punch for the glittery holly berries and doodled a frame to link everything together.
