Hello dearest friend

I've die-cut the layers out of mixed media paper and water-coloured them. First time using these dies and I'm quite pleased with the results.

AECP Stencil Techniques

It's a while since I made any cards for the Altenew Educator Certification Program as Christmas and other things came in between.

Here is my latest make for the Stencil Techniques module. I sponged red ink through my stencil and then over the top with shimmer paste and mounted it behind the heart cut out. Also I used the same stencil to dry emboss the card matte.

CAS Stencil Card Challenge - Reminder

A reminder that there is still time to play along at the CAS Stencil Card Challenge and my DT card.

I used a Uniko stencil and distress inks to make the tag, die-cut "happy" inked and popped up on foam, and the  Uniko "birthday" stamp is heat embossed in white on black.

Great to see all the beautiful entries at CAS Stencil!

Happy Little Stampers January ATC Challenge

Hi everyone, I'm delighted to be part of the Happy Little Stampers design team for the ATC Challenge.  ATCs are fairly new for me and I'm looking forward to making more. Here are my vintage ones for the January challenge.

I cut three ATC size mixed media paper pieces and put on a thin coating of white gesso. The backgrounds were made by painting on Infusions powder pigments mixed with water and light stamping of text in brown archival ink. I also used the brown archival to stamp the images and water-coloured them with the Infusions.

Looking forward to seeing your vintage ATCs and thank you for visiting my blog!

Have an amazing birthday

I've been playing with some new STAMPlorations goodies and here is one of the cards I made.

The background was masked off, yellow ink sponged on and the coffee bean stencil sponged in orange over the top. The mug was heat embossed in black and water-coloured.

I will add my card at the new CAS Stencil Card Challenge, where the technique is sponging.

NEW - CAS Stencil Card Challenge

Hello and Happy New Year, everyone!
I am very honoured to be part of the design team for a brand new challenge,
CAS Stencil Card Challenge.

Stencils - love/hate them? I'm sure you have some in your craft stash.  At CAS Stencil Card Challenge we will be exploring a different technique/product each month to use with our stencils and this month's technique is "Sponging".  Do check it out here - we have great tutorials to get you started.

Here is my DT card.

To make my card, I masked off the centre of a die-cut panel, sponged pink and yellow inks through a stencil and added a heat embossed butterfly.

The other DT members have made beautiful cards to inspire you and we hope you will join in at Stencil CAS Card Challenge!

Thank you for visiting my blog.
