Word Art Wednesday challenge 34

"In all things of nature there is something of the marvellous"

Hi everyone, this is my creation for entry in the Word Art Wednesday challenge 34.

Unfortunately I still don't have a printer so I decided to make something using my new stamp set, "Garden Silhouettes" by Sheena Douglas.**

I cut a piece of white card a little smaller than my card blank, added Tim Holtz Distress Inks using some Cut and Dry foam, stamped and cut an aperture. Then added some colour and more stamping onto the card blank and mounted the frame over the card with Pinflair Glue Gel.

I'm hoping to have time to post some more cards made with these lovely stamps.

** TIP: I don't usually buy unmounted rubber stamps in sheets as its quite fiddly to cut them all out and mount them onto U-Mount which is what I have done in the past., but find its much easier to use Tack 'N Peel film on an acrylic block. You can use the other side of the block for your acrylic stamps.

Tack 'N Peel is a film which you can cut to fit your acrylic or wooden block and it's self-adhesive. Once it's stuck to the block, take off the protective layer and then your rubber stamp will stick to the tacky surface. When you have finished, you can take the stamp off and put it away and place the protective film back over the tacky surface. You can keep the surface tacky by rinsing it with water and air-drying it which preserves the adhesive layer so the stickiness can be restored a number of times.

Addicted to Stamps Challenge 2

Hi everybody, this week's Addicted to Stamps blog challenge is Bingo Addict to follow the bingo card choosing three elements either diagonally, horizontally or vertically on the bingo card.

I have chosen STAMP, EMBOSS and BLUE.

I stamped the poppies (stamp by Stamp in the Hand) by inking them with markers and stamping onto white glossy card, adding a bit of background colour with a stipple brush and then mounted the panel onto a piece of blue card.

Embossed a piece of white card using the Sizzix and adding some colour with a little sponge, adding a diecut, a piece of stash paper and pearls.

All things grow with love!

"All things grow with love"

Hi everyone, Addicted to Stamps have a new challenge blog and this is the card I've made for challenge #1 "Mark your mark" to make a card using markers.

The pink and silver pieces have been embossed using the Sizzix Embossing Boutique and the silver foiled diecut is a Stackable by Hunkydory.

The flower and butterfly stamps are also by Hunkydory and coloured with Promarkers and I have used a little flower from the set to make a background.

Word stamp by TPC.

Speedy Fox and Friends challenge 112

Hi everybody, this is my card for the Speedy Fox and Friends challenge 112 to make something vintage (only just in time!).

The background paper is by Teresa Collins, I have used a Martha Stewart punch to punch around the image, the blue panel is a piece of Coredinations card embossed with a Darice folder and Sizzix Texture Boutique, stamps by Inkylicious and have used my new punches which both punch and emboss to make the flowers.

Less Is More week 72 (pt 2)

Hi everyone, I decided to make a second card for this week's Less Is More challenge to make a card using something shiny.

The dandelion and border stamps are by Marion Emberson, background word stamp by Paper Inspirations, and greeting word stamp by Dawn Bibby Designs.

Shininess provided by a clear gem in the middle of the dandelion!

Less Is More week 72

Hi everyone, here is my card for week 72 of the Less Is More challenge, and the theme this week is to use something shiny. I found its quite difficult to photograph a card in a way that shows the shine!

I have used a foil edged diecut shape and stamped the poppies and the message in black Memento, coloured the flowers and edged the card using Promarkers.

The poppy stamps are by Hobby Art, diecut and message stamp by Dawn Bibby Designs.

"It's the little things ..."

"Its the little thing that make life BIG"

Hi everyone, this is my entry for the Word Art Wednesday challenge #32, and also the Speedy Fox and Friends challenge to make a black and white card with a splash of colour.

Stamps used are by Inkylicious.

May your day be ...

"May your day be as bright as a flower"

I made this by spritzing a piece of white card lightly with water, add a few different colours of Twinkling H20s and then add another spritz of mica over the top to help move the colours around**.

Let it dry and then stamp over the top. I have used Boho Blooms stamps set by TPC. The two large swirls were stamped with Silkies pearlescent paint by Imagination Crafts, other stamping with black dye ink.

** TIP: I made a pearlescent mica spray by mixing a small amount of Cosmic Shimmer mica powder and some warm water in a little spray bottle. Don't keep these mixtures for long as they tend to "go off"!

Birthday Card

Hi everyone, I wanted to make a card using these lovely flourish peel-offs which I saw on TV and thought they would make a nice embellishment - they were a little hard to source but I managed to find some at Wild Warehouse.

I cut out the flowers from papers from my stash using the Spring Fling template by Craftwork Cards. Message band, card blank and Card Candi also by Craftwork Cards.

Happy Birthday card 5

Here is a little card I made with a notelet and stackable message from Hunkydory, clear stamps from Floral Chic stamp set also by Hunkydory.

1. Colour tint the edges of the message and attach it to the notelet.

2. Stamp the butterfly and handbag with black Memento and paint using some dye ink and a waterbrush.

3. Attach butterfly and bag with Pinflair glue gel to add some dimension and highlight the flower with Glossy Accents.

Less is More card 3

Hi everyone, this is my entry for the Less Is More week 69 challenge to make a card that is not a square or rectangle.

I used the Sizzix Texture boutique to emboss some white card, cut around a shape template (Craftwork Cards), adding a birthday message, touches of colour with a Promarker pen and some pearls.
